According to the initial judgment of experts, strange animals may be seals living in the Arctic Ocean, but for some reason appear in the waters of Ninh Thuan province. If fishermen are not captured by the fishermen, the environment and sea temperature are not suitable, the animal will not survive.

However, this is not the first time fishermen have caught seals.

At around 19:00 on September 14, 2010, fishermen in Tam Giang lagoon with Hai Duong sea (Huong Tra district, Thua Thien - Hue province) caught a sea seal when it was in the foraging in the Shrimp and fish farms here. This seal weighs over 25kg, is very healthy and barks (like a dog). After that, this seal was handed over to the authorities and brought to nurture by Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography.

Earlier, on the morning of August 11, 2008, Do Khoi fishermen's fishing boats (Chau Thuan village, Binh Chau commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province) while catching a fishing net caught a seal. The sea weighs about 30kg, in the waters of Chau Thuan village, about 400m from the coast.
