The success of this study was published in a Scientific Journal of the National Institute of Scientific Research, USA on May 16.

Professor Huang Shuzheng, leading the research team at Jiao Tong University's Genetic Institute, said "our ultimate goal will be to use stem cells to treat genetic diseases".

In the past five years, Huang Shuzheng's research team has made implantation of stem cells from the umbilical cord stemmed into embryos of 50 goats.

When these pregnant goats give birth, 39 have genetic traits in their blood and internal organs.

Scientists said the results of the study showed that stem cells, non-specialized cells that give rise to specialized cells can be taken from a biological body and implanted into another body. There is no need to use the exclusion method.

Currently 39 goats are being raised in an experimental farm on the outskirts of Shanghai City.

Scientists are hoping to apply a method of transplanting healthy human stem cells to treat hereditary diseases such as blood clots. At the same time, scientists also hope that by implanting normal stem cells into the embryo, it can "fix" the inheritance of a disease.

Previously, Professor Huang Shuzheng's team succeeded in replacing diseased liver cells in rat embryos.

But developing a method of using stem cells to cure human diseases still has a long way to go.

This change is not only technical but also ethical issues. Currently Shanghai is building a comprehensive statute for scientists to study biology.
