Choose the menu by turning the dish

Two students at the University of New York have devised a way to make the menu choices of the restaurant more attractive. Using the laser projector menu on the dining table, diners can easily choose the dish by ... rotate the plate.

When guests enter the restaurant, they will sit at the table with a white plate. The laser system directs the image of the menu to the table and the image of the dish lies neatly in the dish. There is a circle with white dots like the clock around the plate. There is a red mark on the plate. When you rotate the disc, the dish image will change. For example, the customer rotates the mark at 12 o'clock, the disk will display a welcome smiley image. When they turn to the 2 o'clock point, the grilled fish will appear on the plate. The image of the dish appears to correspond with each time you rotate the dish.

According to Sica and Reginiano, the authors of today's system, they find that today's customers open their menu of dishes as long ago as the first restaurant opened in the traditional way. Sica and Reginiano wanted to make something interesting and exciting for the diner to enjoy. "They will see the food on the plate and we call it What you see, you have something. " Reginiano said.

Besides the advantages of food preview, laser system of two students also minimize the language barrier. For example, Sina's compatriots from Argentina, or Reginiano's compatriots from Israel, look at the English menu very hard to understand. But they will easily recognize the dish when looking at the image on the plate.

Currently, this new system is being tested at school. Two students are planning to show up at restaurants to convince them to give them a fun experience.
