Essex University of England has "raised" the quality of teaching marine biology to a new level, by "lowering" the class to a depth of about 18m under the sea.
Lectures are conducted during diving in tropical reef systems during an annual outdoor study at the Wakatobi Sea National Park (Indonesia), for biology students.

In order to be able to teach in this particular environment, Professor David Smith uses specialized audio equipment to allow underwater conversations, thoroughly explaining what is spreading out in front of students, according to the news page. East Anglian Daily Times.
The entire teaching period, lasting for 15 hours, will be uploaded online as material for students who do not have the opportunity to attend in Indonesia.
The idea of teaching underwater marine life has received positive feedback from students who think that this approach has helped them quickly acquire the necessary information.
