Climate change causes many strange diseases

About 70% of new human diseases in recent years have been transmitted by animals. So the first international conference on new epidemics was held in Austria over the weekend with the participation of more than 500 experts from 65 countries and international organizations.

The conference discussed the application of new technologies to build processes, measures and tools to quickly detect and prevent emerging diseases, in the context of many challenges to human health. such as climate change and tourism expansion.

Increased climate change and temperature have led to the redistribution of maps of bacteria, insects and plants, putting people at risk for unprecedented diseases. A good example is that the waters of Alaska (USA) used to be very cold and people can safely eat grilled scallops of this region (photos) without fear of abdominal pain. However, in the summer of 2004, some visitors to the area suffered from diarrhea and vomiting after eating grilled oysters.

Scientists found out that the seawater temperature here exceeded 15 ^o C, and for the first time they discovered Vibrio parahaemolyticus, a species of bacteria quite common in warm Gulf of Mexico, in oysters Alaska. The World Health Organization (WHO) said that in 2000, around 154,000 people worldwide died of diseases caused by climate change.
