Crocodile is approaching the underwater photographer

Receiving a warning, photographer Jennifer Hayes turned her head and spotted her just a few centimeters ahead.

Photographer Jennifer Hayes and her husband, David Doubilet, encountered a crocodile while diving under the mangrove forest in National Park's Gardens of the Queen, Cuba, on December 26.

This marine reserve includes many small islands with mangrove forests and coral reefs. The isolation and strict protection activities make Gardens of the Queen a place to gather coral reefs with many fish species and mangrove clear water with crocodiles.

"I was watching the strange jellyfish swimming above me when David let out a loud sound through the regulator and started swimming towards me. I turned my head and encountered a crocodile right in front of the few Hayes, " recalls Hayes.

Crocodile is quite familiar with the appearance of humans."It moves slowly and doesn't appear aggressive, but the situation may change in the blink of an eye so David wants to warn me," Hayes explained. She did not feel threatened. The crocodile later showed no interest and left.

"I am very excited to come back and see this Central American crocodile guest at such a close distance. That is the meeting you expected while working , " Hayes said.
