A Cuban farmer found a special way to produce delicious wine jars that used condoms to cover the fermented wine jars.
At home in the south of El Canal neighborhood in Havana, Cuba, Orestes Estevez and family filled glass bottles of wine made from grapes, beets, papayas, bananas, ginger and even watercress before wrapping High coins around the mouth, Xinhua reported on April 9.
This unusual production process followed Estevez for more than 15 years of running a winery. "I started to produce wine like everyone else. I used to fill wine in jars and covered it with cloth, but this was inefficient. After that, I got a method to use condoms in Havana wine organization. This is really the best solution " , Estevez said.
After 30 years of service in the military and police, Estevez has been in wine business since 2000 after the Cuban government allowed private businesses to do business.Since then, his wine is very popular, not only because of the unique distillation method but also because of its diversity, quality and reasonable price.
"After the alcohol is prepared, the condom is covered with the mouth of the bottle to begin the fermentation process that lasts 30-45 days. During this time, the condom starts bulging until it is erect as if a man used " , Estevez said.
When the condom collapses, it is a sign that fermentation is finished and the wine is ready to be bottled.Every day, Orestes and his wife and son filled up 20-liter jars of concoction with a secret recipe.
El Canal winery sells about 50 bottles a day at a price of 0.5-1 USD.
"I live very happily with my family in this business. However, I do not intend to expand. With this winery, I have everything I need," Estevez said.
