SCMP today said that experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences will continue to test to determine which dinosaurs they belong to. Previously, Ha Nguyen used to be called "the hometown of dinosaurs ".
Experts collected about 17,000 dinosaur egg fossils in the area since they first found them on a riverbank in 1996 . Du said that many other fossils could be found in sandstone around the city and construction projects would have to be suspended if discovered.
In 2004, the police arrested a farmer in Ha Nguyen after confirming that he hid 557 fossils of dinosaur eggs in the house.
