A part of the dinosaur bone, the scientific name Linhenykus monodactylus, lived 75-84 million years ago, was found in a fossilized rock mass near the city of Linhe, in Inner Mongolia.
The Linhenykus dinosaur is about 61cm tall and the weight is equivalent to a large parrot. Linhenykus belongs to the meat-eating dinosaur family with 2 legs.
Researchers have discovered that Linhenykus has an outstanding feature not seen in any meat-eating dinosaur, two hands with only one finger , with each finger having a large claw.
Scientists believe that the Linhenykus dinosaur may have used clawed fingers to dig insects.
Michael Pittman, a researcher from the University of London (UK), said: 'The original two-legged carnivorous dinosaur had 5 fingers but then evolved to only 3 fingers.
Some special dinosaurs have only two fingers but the fact that the Linhenykus has only one finger has shown how much and complicated the two-legged carnivorous dinosaurs change . '
Experts believe that the Linhenykus dinosaurs live with and are closely related to the two-sized, two-legged 2-dinosaurs, as well as tailed dinosaurs, horned dinosaurs, and animals. Small mammals and lizards.
