Detecting the stalactite block 'unique' in Phong Nha cave

In the morning of August 1, Mr. Le Thanh Loi, Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang Eco-Cultural Tourism Center (Quang Binh) said that cave experts have discovered a "strange" stalactite block in Phong Nha cave.

According to Mr. Loi, the stalactite block at the end of Huyen Khong cave, at a depth of 1,500m from the newly discovered Phong Nha cave, has a strange change in color. When shining the first light on stalactites with golden color, but then the other lights at the same frequency on the stalactites changed to blue. Then stop shining the lights for a while and then illuminate again, stalactites will show colors like wood grain, very beautiful.

'This stalactite block is about 2m wide, 5m tall, has a different structure and has many striations like wood fibers. In the near future we will invite experts to conduct research on this stalactite, ' Loi said.
