Discover the longest living clam

A sea son just hit from the coast of Iceland is considered the longest living creature on earth. Scientists estimate its age from 405-410 years, while Shakespeare was writing plays. Researchers from Bangor University in northern Wales calculated this son's age by counting the life cycle on its shell.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the longest living creature was a Arctic son, found in 1982 at the age of 220. Compared to another son, found at an Icelandic museum that was 374 years old, a new son. This is at least 31 years older.

Professor Chris Richardson, from the University of Ocean Sciences, Bangor University, said: "The growth rings themselves show how big animals change from year to year, and that depends. into the weather, sea and food temperatures ".
