Discover the oldest traces of the dinosaur Deinonychus
Recently, in the area of Phoenix Mountain, Xicheng District, Hebei Province, China, Chinese and American archaeologists have discovered the world's most ancient vestiges of the Deinonychus dinosaur.
Deinonychus (terrible claw) is a carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the early Cretaceous, has a light physique so it can run very fast. This species of dinosaur has sharp teeth, two strong front limbs that have claws to grab prey and tear off prey with large claws on the hind feet.
According to Mr. Fig Lap Dat, of the Geological Research Center, the Chinese Institute of Geological Sciences, the Deinonychus dinosaur is about 6.5 meters long, can look very similar to the bird's ancestors. This finding proved that Deinonychus dinosaurs soon appeared in China 120 million years ago.
This new finding helps archaeologists find evidence of the transformation of 'dinosaurs to birds'.
