Recently, researcher Sarah Woodfin, who is currently studying Master of Applied Ecology and conservation in UEA, had an expedition in Vietnam and was extremely lucky to discover and capture the image of the rabbit. Truong Son stripes are extremely rare. Sarah said she found the Truong Son rabbit in the edge of a stream.
Sarah said she had experience caring for her rabbit since she was five, so she knew how to safely carry this extremely rare rabbit.
"My first feeling was shocking. I realized it was a zebra rabbit as soon as I saw it, because they were very different, but at that time I still couldn't believe that we had caught a rare rabbit. most in the world, 'Sarah said.
However, she added that the risk of extinction of this extremely rare species of rabbit is very high because the number is not much smaller, narrowing the habitat due to deforestation and hunting.
