Find the most unique turtle in Vietnam
Batka Batagu turtle is said to be extinct in Vietnam was discovered in Suoi Tien tourist area, Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Khoi, Director of the World Wildlife Conservation Organization in Vietnam, said that once he came to Suoi Tien Tourist Area, he suddenly found a strange turtle here.

' According to observations and photos, I realized that this is the Baska turtle Batka, the species identified as extinct in Vietnam, ' said Khoi.
Talking to VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Cuong, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department , confirmed that he will check the origin of the turtle. According to Cuong, for rare wild animals if illegal detention is found, the Department will confiscate, rescue and return to nature.
According to scientific documents, Batagu baska tortoise is one of 25 globally endangered turtles.
In the Catalog of amphibian reptiles by author Nguyen Van Sang, Ho Thu Cuc and Nguyen Quang Truong (XB in 2009), this species in Vietnam is extinct.
