Dragon successfully connected with the International Space Station ISS

April 20, the Dragon's material and cargo compartment of US space space technology group SpaceX successfully paired with the Harmony module of the International Space Station (ISS).

Dragon was launched into space by SpaceX on April 18 from Cape Canaveral air base in the mission of implementing SpaceX's third shipment to ISS.

According to the US Aerospace Agency (NASA), Dragon's pairing process with ISS is carried out with the help of a 17.6m robot arm taking place in the space in Brazil, 418km from the ground.

After successful pairing, the cargo in the cabin (including food, clothes and other items for 150 tests on ISS) will be unloaded. NASA hopes the cargo compartment will open to ISS on April 21 morning.

NASA said that among the 150 scientific tests on ISS, there is a System for growing vegetables called Veggie, experimenting with growing some salad vegetables for astronauts.

Another test is to find out why the astronaut's immune system is weakened in weightlessness.

In addition, NASA has shifted a test version of the laser telecommunications system to test the ability to speed up data transmission.

SpaceX's supply of materials and equipment within the $ 1.6 billion contract was signed with NASA by SpaceX.

According to the plan, SpaceX will conduct a total of 12 shipments for ISS with each containing about 2.2 tons of goods and equipment.

SpaceX was founded in 2002 and is owned by Internet billionaire Elon Musk. SpaceX's first shipment was carried out in May 2012, marking the first successful launch of a spacecraft by a private corporation with the ISS.
