Scientists at the University of King's Psychiatric Institute (London) took blood samples from 500 Alzheimer's patients and healthy elderly people and measured protein levels. After comparison, they found that levels of two proteins in the blood were higher than those of similar proteins in healthy human blood.

" We found evidence that there is a difference in protein levels in Alzheimer's patients' blood compared to normal people. That finding allows us to think about the prospect of developing a blood test for early detection. Alzheimer's disease, "said Professor Simon Lovestone, lead researcher.

The names of these two proteins have not been published.

He is one of the countries with many people with Alzheimer's disease, but the diagnosis is not simple. Scientists claim that Alzheimer's treatment will become easier if the symptoms of the disease are detected early.

However, Lovestone said that his team needed to conduct more tests to confirm the accuracy of the research results.

The work has been published in scientific journals in the UK.
