Eating a lot of Dutch beans and beans has a better effect on controlling the symptoms of diabetes.

This is the result of research by scientists at St. Hospital. Michael and University of Toronto (Canada), published December 16 in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

This study was conducted with 210 patients with type 2 diabetes. They were divided into 2 groups, one group performed a diet that reduced soybean meal, peas, lentils, nuts and pasta (called are group 1) and group 2 adheres to a diet high in cereals and fiber.

Both groups are also encouraged to eat 3 servings of fruit and 6 vegetables per day. The results showed that after 6 months, the first group significantly controlled high blood sugar and high density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol compared to group 2.

During this time, both groups are still prescribed medications to control blood sugar and conduct monthly blood tests.

The most common type 2 diabetes mellitus today is closely related to obesity. Diabetic patients are at higher risk of developing diseases such as heart disease, stroke, kidney damage and blindness.
