Eating organic foods may reduce the risk of cancer
People who regularly eat organic food will reduce their risk of cancer by 25%, according to a new study published in France.
According to CNN, research at JAMA Internal Medicine found that people who primarily eat organic foods are less likely to suffer from lymphoma than Holgkin and postmenopausal, compared with people who have little or never eaten.

The researchers looked at the diet of nearly 69,000 adults with three-quarters being women, the average age of 40. Volunteers were divided into four groups depending on how often they eat organic foods. , including fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, vegetable oils and spices, supplements and other products.
For over four and a half years, volunteers had a total of 1,340 types of cancer. The most common diseases are (459 people), prostate cancer (180 people), (135), (99) and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (47).
Compared to people who eat more and eat less organic food, researchers calculate that people who eat more organic foods will reduce their risk of developing cancer by 25%. Specifically, they decreased by 73% the risk of developing non-Hodgkin cancer and 21% of the risk of postmenopausal breast cancer. People who eat organic foods in smaller quantities still reduce their risk of developing the disease.
The authors hypothesize about the negative relationship between organic food and cancer risk."If cancer is found, using organic food is also a good strategy for prevention and treatment," concluded Baudry, an French epidemiologist.
Dr. Jorge E. Chavarro, Associate Professor at Harvard University School of Nutrition, said a study showed that many people who are not working in agriculture are still exposed to pesticide residues through food. The international cancer research agency detects pesticides caused by humans. Therefore, safety considerations should also be considered when eating organic foods.
