The current tunnel is still just a test model.

The Boring Company "Urban Loop" system is about to come true. Watch the time-lapse video inside the tunnel shared by billionaire Elon Musk below.

The current tunnel is still just a test model. But according to Musk, it will be completed and used in "the next few months" , people can try for free including: cars, pedestrians, even cyclists.

The experimental tunnel is located west of Los Angeles, 3.2 km long and about to be completed.

Musk announced that the work was only awaiting final approval from the authorities before officially opening the door.

The image in the video reveals a general plan for the tunnel network with a 10.5 km long red line being constructed, the blue line may be an extension.

This closed tunnel is similar to the bigger and faster Hyperloop system. It serves as evidence for more advanced Hyperloop technology.

While the city of LA is fortunate to test the first closed tunnel technology, the large closed tunnel is still in the research phase.

Musk's ambition is to connect dozens of major cities on the east coast of the United States. He also stated that the connection between New York and Washington DC began to start.

The next link between LA and San Francisco will start in 2019.
