Among the hundreds of fossil teeth and bones of animals that have been discovered in Lang Son, there are fossil teeth of rhinos, rhinos - extinct species.

The fossil teeth and bone were surveyed by the survey team during the survey of archaeological historical sites in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province last month at a number of survey sites such as Trang Dinh, Huu Lung and Loc Binh (Lang Son).

Among the newly discovered fossil teeth and bones of animals, the most notable is the fossil teeth of the sword-tooth, extinct species.

After reviewing and analyzing, this fossil tooth's fossil dates back to 18-20 years, equivalent to the date of the excavation of Leng Chong (Binh Gia - Lang Son) in 1965.

The discovery of fossil teeth in Trang Dinh (Lang Son) is extremely valuable scientific material. Sword-toothed elephants exist on Earth for about 11.6 million years until 4,100 years ago. They are thought to have relatives of Loxodonta ( 'like' African elephants - Loxodonta Africana, Mammuthus (ie, Mamut elephant, were extinct about 10,000 years ago) and Elephas (currently the only 'descendant') . Asian elephants - Elephas maximus) appear in the Pliocene body.

Besides fossils are fossils of rhinos, wild boars, monkeys, buffaloes and bovines . In particular, there are also fossilized bones of fossils, probably a tool spearhead of the people of the old stone age left in the cave in Trang Dinh.

At Na Duong coal mine, the survey team also discovered more fossils of snail clams aged about 20 million years ago.
