Faster running will help reduce more weight

A recent scientific study has shown that, in a marathon, a person's weight is reduced more or less depending on how long he or she runs to the finish line.

This study was conducted last year with 643 volunteers. They must complete the 42km marathon in the town of Mont Saint Michel, France.

Participants were weighed just before and after the race. Neither age nor gender affects the results of this test.

During the marathon, scientists discovered that those who lost the most weight, about 3% of their total body weight, were people who took less than three hours to run to their destination.

The next target group within 3 to 4 hours reduced 2.5% of the total weight. This number drops to 2% when the number of hours runs up to four hours or more. Meanwhile, the people who finish the finish line tend to gain weight, because they drink water or energy supplements every 20 minutes.

To help participants run more supple and lose more weight, biological engineer Benjamin Rapoport of Harvard Medical School has found a way to prevent them from having to stop running midway due to losing strength.

It is a form of calculation that allows them to calculate the ideal running speed and maintain durability during the race. This method is usually measured with specialized devices, or can be estimated through the heart rate when running at a steady speed.
