Experts at the University of California-Berkeley (USA) claim to have discovered SIRT3, a group of proteins called sirtuin, which plays an important role in supporting aging stem cells to cope with pressure, according to Report on the Cell.

Researchers have reversed the aging process in mice by injecting longevity genes into them and regenerating stem cell regeneration.

When they transmit SIRT3 to the original blood cells, this therapy speeds up the process of forming new blood cells. This is evidence that the reversal of the decline in age is related to age in the function of aging stem cells.

'We know that sirtuin regulates the aging process, but we are the first group to show that sirtuin can reverse age-related degeneration,' said lead researcher Danica Chen.

Instead of being a random, uncontrollable process, aging can now be regulated as a development process, opening up an opportunity to intervene.
