Diphylleia grayi is the scientific name of a species of white flowers, often living on wet mountains and trees, in cold climates of Japan and China. The leaves are large in size and shaped like an umbrella, small clustered flowers and white pearls. This is a perennial plant and may be 0.4 m high.

Plants bloom from mid-spring to early summer in cool conditions. When immersed, the petals begin to lose their white pigments and turn completely into transparent forms. When dry, the petals will return to the original white nuance.
