An Israeli start-up has successfully developed a cow-to-meat cell on an international space station, which has harsh conditions that cannot be raised as on Earth .
On October 7, Aleph Farms, an Israeli food technology startup, announced it had successfully produced beef on the International Space Station (ISS), 399km from Earth.
This also means that for the first time meat was created in the universe , where there were no natural resources suitable for animal husbandry.

According to the Guardian newspaper, the cow's cells were transferred from Earth to the ISS part of Russia and the experiment was conducted on September 26.
Cow cells have grown into small muscle tissue by using a method called "3D bio-printing", which mimics the process of creating muscle tissue inside the cow's body.
This event marks a new step in an emerging industry to provide human flesh with no impact on the environment.
In the future, the technique these researchers developed with the 3D company Bioprinting Solutions (Russia) could be used to provide meat to people living on the space station.
"We are showing people that meat can be produced at any time, anywhere and under what conditions. In space, we cannot have 10,000 - 15,000 liters of water available. help create 1kg of beef " - Didier Toubia, co-founder of Aleph Farms, shared.

Aleph Farms was also the company in December 2018 that announced it had produced the first steak from stem cells in the laboratory, though they acknowledged the taste of it needed to be improved.
Meat created from laboratories also means that humans will not kill animals. In the past, people called this meat "Frankenstein" . According to The Sun , experts earlier this year revealed that lab-made meat could be sold on supermarket shelves in five years.
Recent studies indicate that reducing meat consumption is necessary to cut greenhouse gas emissions and avoid serious climate change. Another study suggests that avoiding meat and dairy products is the biggest way to reduce an individual's environmental impact on the planet.
