The British Museum on 7 February cited research data as it was found near the city of Happisburgh, North Norfolk, as the earliest evidence of human life in northern Europe.
According to Nick Ashton, a museum scientist, these traces were discovered accidentally in rock deposits in May 2013.
Scientists say these traces could be five people both adults and children, of whom the tallest person has a height of 175cm. However, these ancient people belong to any race are still a mystery to researchers.
So far this is the third tallest ancient human footprint found. The oldest is a footprint in Tanzania dating back to 3.5 million years, "young" rather than a footprint in Kenya left by humans 1.5 million years ago.
