The Silk Road is a lifeline between China and the rest of the world over 1,500 years ago. More and more mysteries are discovered in Kinh Xuyen district - an important stop on the Silk Road.
More than 1,700 relics were found under Dai Van Pagoda, a famous site in the area of about 1,400 years old. The first and only queen of China, Vo Tac Thien, adorned her in the first stage in her position. Many of the Buddha statues here have the characteristics of women that experts believe is a sign of Vo Tac Thien.
Vo Tac Thien received a collection of Buddhist scriptures called Dai Van sutras from two monks in 689 AD. These sutras contain comments on the validity of a female ruler in China. Archaeologists believe this may be the reason for her favor of Dai Van temple.
Researchers also continuously explore monuments to find the secrets of ancient Chinese dynasties and it seems that there is no better place to do that than along the Silk Road.
Relics are the crystalline parts left after the cremation (cremation) ceremony of the Buddha and the monks increased.
