Future surgeons hone their skills in the virtual operating room

Future surgeons - students of the Moscow Medical School - are practicing in the virtual operating room. On the operating table there is a dummy, and around is the device that can reproduce any 3D surgery procedure. In this operating room there is everything needed to practice with the robotic dummy. As a result, after graduation, physicians will be able to fight back for life.
Unfortunately, in real life, there are no patients who are not afraid of medical errors. But, in the student's virtual hospital, where future surgeons perform complex operations, the dummy is not afraid of consequences.
Currently, there is only one such practice hospital in Russia. It is equipped with the latest medical equipment. There are special exercise equipment, man-made dummy figures. The appearance of the hospital is not much different than the actual hospital: there are corridors, patient rooms, modern operating rooms.

The robot-patients also often moan, scream and even purify before dying. This is indispensable because the students have to practice resuscitation. Newborns force doctors to solve several tasks immediately. Screams, coughs and drills are just like real neonates.
In the operating room there are no actual organs. The surgery is done by virtual instruments. The three-dimensional image of all that is happening in the operating room appears on the screen. Just make a mistake that makes the program immediately stop: students do not pass the test. The emergency horn, on the other hand, is a sign that the future doctor has done the right thing.
In the operating room, the students can see the whole process of the operation, can practice, discuss and record the necessary things for themselves. It is also possible to test the talents of future professionals: how does the student feel in the operating room, fearful, self-examination?
The establishment of a virtual hospital is an important event for Russian medicine: the results of the study show that the use of such devices reduces the risk of medical errors twice during surgery. really. If the Moscow project is successful, a similar virtual hospital will appear in other parts of the Russian Federation.
