According to Grind TV, the shark that appeared on March 27 is at least 8.5 meters long, belonging to the dried shark breed (Cetorhinus maximus). This is the second largest fish on the planet, can reach a length of over 12 m. They are also one of the most mysterious big sharks because scientists have almost no information about their numbers or patterns of migration.
Fish that eat this gentle plankton are extremely rare. The number of exposed sharks is much lower in the US west coast and California coast than the giant white shark.

" We know they live off California in numbers up to hundreds or thousands, but seeing a pretty rare one, " Heidi Dewar in the Department of Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's fisheries department ( NOAA), said.
NOAA employees have labeled four expatriate sharks in the Pacific and hope to learn more about their migratory behavior. According to Dewar, exposures are most common in California waters in the spring, when plankton thrive.
