The Mobile Lorm Glove is designed for blind, deaf people to wear on their hands, helping to receive messages through tactile feedback. The communication will be symbolized on the different areas of the hand through the alphabet for the blind, blinded by a blind man of the same name with the designer Lorm.
Gloves help the deaf to receive and send messages
via the sensor and bluetooth connected to the phone
After the phone receives the message it creates a small vibration on the back of the glove, and then translates the message through the alphabet using pressure. Where blind people, deaf people want to send messages can also use the pressure sensor on the palm of the gloves. Corresponding sensors are words and sentences.
Data transmission, the connection between the glove and the phone has a Bluetooth module. It will go to the recipient as an SMS. Conversely, when the person wearing the glove receives a text message, the message is forwarded via Bluetooth from the phone to the glove.
Researchers are continuing to develop this device to make it easier to use e-mail and e-book readers.
