In Northern, Eastern and Southeastern Australia there is a type of lizard named Tiliqua scincoides. They belong to the family of lizards, but do not like to climb trees, fully adapted to underground life.

The external shape is quite recognizable: The head is large, I am long and heavy (my body is about 0.5m long), my legs are short, each table has 5 fingers. The back is silver-gray or brown, there is a series of black horizontal stripes on the back. The belly and neck are white, gray or yellow. The tail is about 50-70% long in body length, tapered like a bud. The whole body is covered with silky scales, laid on each other.

The most noticeable point is that their tongue is quite long, blue is used to scare.

The lizards of Tiliqua scincoides mainly feed during the day, their food is mainly insects and abdomen (like snails), they also eat a lot of berries and flowers. At night, they reside not at high altitudes like many other lizards that crawl in hollow logs, or crawl under a mess of sleepless nights.

Usually this type of lizard is quite slow, but when in danger they can run quite quickly. The green tongue lizard has a great misleading tactic: they are ready to "sacrifice" their tail to be a life-saver that makes the enemy mistakenly think that the tail is a living animal. Taking advantage of that opening, the tail-breaking lizard easily escaped. Nature gave them a very strange privilege: the tail broke but the blood did not flow much. Losing a broken tail is also not a big loss: the tail end will regrow itself after a while.

In the case of being cornered and running out, they will go back to sticking their green tongue . shattering and hissing.

The birth of the lizard Tiliqua scincoides also has many strange things: The female lays eggs, but the eggs do not fall out of the body immediately but still in her mother lizard, each spawning an average of about 20 eggs. Some time later, the eggs hatch right inside the mother lizard's body. Therefore, on the surface, I thought that lizards who have born their children right away, each time "liberating their children", there will be 5 to 25 young children born.

Lizard Tiliqua scincoides lives in coastal forests, high mountains and lives on vast grasslands.
