Hackers can steal user information from ... brain waves

Bad guys can sneak into the brain and extract important personal information if you use EEG (EEG) when filling in your phone or computer.

Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and the University of California Riverside have discovered that hackers can steal sensitive information by reading brain waves of the target audience.

When a user logs in to an online bank account and still has an EEG , the hacker can extract brainwave data and correctly guess his or her password with a special wave reader.

The results of the study were published in an article entitled "PEEP: overheard brainwave personal information" presented at the 21st data security and data encryption conference. in the Republic of Malta in April.

In the latest test, a group of 12 individuals was asked to enter a series of PIN and password (provided by scientists) into a voice mail while the EEG team was on top.

Scientists will collect brainwave data when objects fill information with a physical keyboard into a computer. The team determined that when the user entered more than 200 characters into the dialog box, the computer could guess the person's PIN and password with an exact ratio of 46.5% and 37.3%, respectively.

Also in this study, the subjects used virtual keyboards on mobile phones, the exact rate that the computer guessed a 4-character PIN was 47.5%.
