Illusions make the British driver not daring to launch

The city of London, England created virtual speed humps on the road to force the driver to slow down.

London authorities are using visual trick tricks to create virtual speed bumps on the road , Long Room yesterday reported. Black and white paint lines are applied on some roads with high traffic density as well as residential areas.

The London Transport Bureau (TFL) first tested the idea on the A117 highway in Newham area in November 2014. In the summer of last year, virtual speed humps are also painted on Southwark Street in south London.

The goal of TFL is to make vehicles reduce speed to below 32km / h. Experimental results show that the average speed of vehicles on these roads decreases by 5 m / h after 9 months of application.

TFL only controls and manages 5% of London's streets, including the busiest routes, including North Circular and A40, accounting for 30% of the total city traffic. After the trial, TFL painted virtual speed bumps in 45 secret locations. Some other neighborhoods in London have also begun to adopt this measure.
