In Blade Runner 2049's opening scene, we see a series of close-up greenhouses, stretching to the endless horizon. The gentle soundtrack emerges, informing anyone who loves cyberpunk that they are about to embark on a wonderful journey. But we're not talking about the greatness of Blade Runner 2049.

There is a fact that the premier greenhouse series is completely real, not the product of cinematic effects. The area is located in El Ejido, Spain. The greenhouse area is spread over 200 km 2 , which is the center providing fruits and vegetables for the whole of Europe.

A bit of information about cloud seeding: it is a way to change the weather by changing precipitation in the cloud. Chemicals released into the clouds have the properties of condensing clouds, changing the grain structure of clouds. This method of creating / preventing rain is still very controversial due to its effects on the health of people standing below.

Cloud seeding can be done by discharging chemicals from the ground to the clouds or dropping from the plane.

And yet, the greenhouse itself is mainly made of plastic, the cultivation area, so the pollution level here is quite high: plastic smell, fertilizer odor, pesticide odor mix into an atmosphere dense and uncomfortable. This is the price to pay for the wealth that this money-making industry brings.
