On August 29, Sinabung volcano in North Sumatra province, Indonesia, erupted for the first time since 1600, leaving more than 30,000 people evacuated. It operated for the second time on August 30, creating a 2,000 m high ash column. On September 3, Sinabung erupted for the third time and the height of the ash column increased to 3,000 m. The fourth activity happened yesterday.
Scientists fear that Sinabung's current activity is a sign of a terrible eruption in the next few weeks or months.
