Influenza A / H1N1 increased massively

In June 26 alone, 15 more cases of H1N1 flu were detected in the country, bringing the total number of cases to 96. On the same day, the International Medical Quarantine Center in Ho Chi Minh City isolated 50 passengers to Tan Son Nhat airport with high body temperature.

According to the HCM City Department of Health, the number of cases in the whole country may have exceeded 100, because in addition to correctly identified cases, some other cases are currently positive for influenza A / H1N1 during the first test.

Of the 15 positive cases identified this afternoon, there is 1 case in Hanoi, the remaining cases are being monitored for treatment in HCMC. Only two cases are people in the country who are infected from relatives to come back from abroad, the remaining patients are all overseas Vietnamese. All are in stable health condition.

Ministry of Health recommends that those who come to Vietnam on flights with people infected with influenza include VN 780 on June 23, CX 767 on June 22, UA 869 on June 21, TG 686 on June 20, VN 782 June 24, Ethiana A201 on June 24, NW1 on June 24, AK 884 on June 24, 2009 and VN 782 Tan Son Nhat - Noi Bai flights on June 19, 2009, actively isolating and following Health monitoring, implementation of personal protective measures, if there are signs of illness such as fever, cough, sore throat, immediately go to the medical facility for instructions and timely management.

According to the World Health Organization, on June 24, there were 55,867 cases positive for influenza A / H1N1 in 108 countries and territories, including 238 deaths .

A number of countries with a new increase in new cases are Canada (747 cases, 2 deaths), Britain (399 cases), Argentina (203 cases), China (167 cases), Australia (421 cases, 1 death), Brazil (203 cases), Mexico (223 cases, 2 deaths). Countries in Southeast Asia are also experiencing a rapid increase in the number of people suffering from influenza in recent days: Thailand (185 cases), Singapore (52 cases) and the Philippines (101 cases, 1 death).
