Japan produces electricity from renewable energy

On August 31, Japan's Environment Minister Goshi Hosono announced a new energy strategy to increase electricity output by six times for four renewable energy types by 2030 to move ahead to eliminate nuclear power plant.

According to Hosono, this strategy will help increase power output from 30,000kw in fiscal 2010 to 8.03 million kw in 2030 for ocean wind energy, from 530,000kw to 3.88 million kw for energy. geothermal volume and from 2.4 million kw to 6 million kw for biomass energy.

In addition, the strategy also plans to produce 1.5 million kw by using ocean waves and tidal energy currently under study.

According to Japan's Environment Minister, while the Japanese government is studying options to cut the share of nuclear energy into the country's total electricity output to 0%, 15 and 20-25. % by 2030 after the nuclear disaster at the Fukushima 1 plant last year, the above strategy would allow the selection of 1% level.

This strategy calls for the introduction of more efficient technologies for power generation based on geothermal energy and biomass energy, and the development of technologies for ocean wave power generation and tidal energy.
