The H-2A rocket left the launcher on Tangashima on February 23, 2008. The Japanese airline said it was a communications satellite designed to provide super-fast data transmission.Satellite missiles were launched at 5:55 pm (8:55 GMT).

The agency expects to be able to transmit data up to 1.2 Gbs per second at low prices across Japan and in 19 other regions in Southeast Asia. JAXA developed Kizuna together with another government agency National Institute of Communications and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

According to JAXA spokesman Asaka Hagiwara, the cost of developing, launching and operating the satellite is estimated at $ 480 million.

Japan has not yet joined and the international satellite market, and Kizuna plans to operate for 5 years, not commercialized. The H-2A rocket is one of the most advanced and reliable rockets in the world - this launch is the 8th successive succession of the rocket.

Japan launched its first satellite in 1970 and gained many important scientific achievements - including launching a telescope to collect samples from a meteorite. The country is trying to catch up with its Chinese rival, who has taken astronauts into space twice since 2003 and is the third country to bring people into space after Russia and the United States. Japan has announced it will send the first astronaut into space and establish a moon base in 2025.

In February 2007, the agency launched a fourth intelligence gathering for fears of its neighbor's nuclear and missile program.

Domestic development brings the ' Kizuna ' satellite launched from the southern island of Tanegashima, live television on the Internet by Japan Aviation Exploration Agency (JAXA). The satellite is equipped with two large multi-beam antennas separate from the missile and into orbit 175 miles from the earth successfully.
