Korea: Training on climate change experts

In order to contribute to the world of reducing greenhouse gases, the Korean government has just selected three universities to train experts on climate change.

Recently, the Korean Ministry of the Environment said the ministry will fund three universities, namely the National University of Korea (SNU), Korea University and Keimyung University to train experts on gas change. post and greenhouse gas issues.

In the next 5 years, the Ministry of Environment will grant 100 million won (about 99,000 USD) per year for each school. After 5 years, these three universities may be granted additional state capital.

An Environment Ministry official said the establishment of appropriate educational institutions to train climate change experts will be the first step to effectively address international treaties on greenhouse gas emissions reduction. .

He also said that the Korean government will step up cooperation with other countries to implement a clean development structure and jointly implement businesses that cause less waste.

Currently, only 2.1% of energy demand in Korea comes from renewable energy sources such as solar energy, hydro power and wind power.
