According to Robert Phipps - one of the most famous language experts in the UK, sleeping postures not only affect health but also reveal surprising things about a person's personality and life.
More than 1,000 Britons participated in the study, choosing one or more of their regular sleeping positions.
Research results can determine how stressful your day is, worrying about and controlling your life or personality such as stubbornness, dreaming, patriarchy…. through the following 4 popular sleeping postures.
Sleeping posture curls up like a fetus (left) and lies straight to the side
Fetal posture
According to the study, more than 58% of Britons often sleep in the 'fetal' position, ie, curl up toward the knee.
People who sleep in this position often show they need to find a comfortable, safe place after a day of activity. They are often thoughtful, meticulous, tidy but sometimes can be thoughtful people or overly worried about every problem in life.
Posture is straight on one side
'Lying like a log' is a sentence used to describe the position when sleeping lying on one side, legs and arms straight along the body. 28% of surveyed people often sleep in this position. These are people who often have rigid, stubborn thoughts, like to do things according to their own will make people misunderstand that they are bossy and less close to them.
However, this posture shows that they are always tense every day to achieve their goals. Therefore, their lives are always vibrant and challenging.
Posture of hope
Two arms stretched forward as if you were pursuing a dream or maybe you're chasing something. This person is always waiting for new things from life and is ready to seize opportunities and challenges. They take a lot of time for a decision because they have to compare and calculate more. Almost these people did not change after deciding.
However, they always expect the best results so it's easy to give up when things don't work out as expected.
Free fall posture
The sleeping posture lies on the belly of the bed, the hands are wrapped around the pillow and the head turns to the side, accounting for 17%. This is the least comfortable sleeping position for adults.
Hope posture (left) and free fall
People who are in this position are often outwardly oriented, caring about the people around them, or are impatient but are actually more self-loving and vulnerable. They often find life unstable, unable to control what is happening.
