Lytro technology will be available on mobile
Toshiba (Japan) has announced that it is working on the new camera sensor used on mobile devices.
Comes with Lytro imaging sensor for mobile devices
According to SlashGear on December 28th, this sensor allows users to take photos in the Lytro style (ie take a picture before the focus).
It is expected that the new sensor will be commercialized by the end of 2013 and used on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
In addition, Toshiba says its new sensor is capable of shooting video with the same focusing features as the shooting, which is something the Lytro camera does not yet do.
