Mantis - 2-ton robot driver

This is probably the biggest spider robot in the world and most likely at this time. The Mantis (Mantle Mantle) is a robot controlled by an internal driver, which looks like a giant machine spider.

Scary robots with in-built controls seem to only appear in movies, now on the streets.

This robot was created for the purpose of mobility on all terrain, with six legs much more maneuverable than the wheels, though speed was not fast.

The Mantis weighs 1,900kg, is about 2.8m high and uses 2.2-liter Perkins diesel. The sensor attached to the body helps it to balance and move accurately. A computer running Linux is provided with driver software that provides power to the pins via the hydraulic system.

Mantis is not fast, because the engine is not strong enough and the movements of the legs are not really fast, but the maneuverability makes it possible to travel on many terrain conditions, especially in places where Cars are not accessible like the ruins after the earthquake ...
