Medusa's 15th birthday, the longest running python in the world

Clouded pythons, or net pythons, Medusa is now 8 meters long, weighs nearly 160 kg and becomes the longest breeding pythons recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.

The weight of the python may increase if the python eats its favorite foods like a bear, deer and pig.

"When you see it, you will be surprised not only by its size but also by its beauty , " said Amber Arnett-Bequeaith, owner of the python.

Medusa was kept in a house named Edge of Hell in Kansas City, USA.

Its record was recorded in 2011 when people weighed it. Since then, it has been growing but no one knows its exact length now. Arnett-Bequeaith said that the measurement of Medusa's size is complicated.

"His favorite thing is not having someone grab his head and tail outstretched," she said.

Ms. Arnett-Bequeaith said python should be in a state of relaxation. When Medusa was satisfied, she breathed slowly and relaxed. On the contrary, it sighs if angry.

"Measuring is really time-consuming , " she said. "To get accurate measurements, it takes many measurements and it takes 30 people to keep Medusa."

Larry Edgar, who trains Medusa, says a brocade can live from 30 to 50 years. So, Medusa is just a child.

Edgar has overcome all fears to raise and train the giant python into a focal point that attracts the special attention of visitors to the spooky house Edge of Hell.
