The coast of Thua Thien Hue is increasingly being eaten by the sea.

In Huong Tra district, the province has just decided to invest VND 9.2 million to build a resettlement area of 2ha with full of electricity, water and roads to arrange for 70 households in Con Dau hamlet and Ghenh village, Hai Duong commune settled. However, after 2015, the newly built resettlement area will be arranged for people to live in.

Meanwhile, in the area of Con Dau neighborhood, of Hai Duong commune, in the last storm No. 8 was eroded with a length of about 160m, deep into the shore from 5-7m. Here, the sea is deeply ingrained in the mainland with a section of just over 10m, many areas of the people's houses are eaten by the sea close to the wall, creating a very dangerous deep pit.

In response to this situation, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Rescue in Thua Thien-Hue province provided materials such as sandbags, steel caskets, and canvas to help people prevent landslides; promptly overcome the points being encroached by the sea. The government and unions of Hai Duong commune cooperated with the border guard station of Thuan An border gate to mobilize more than 200 people to prevent emergency landslides.

Not only is it difficult because of the lack of funding, but some localities in the region have been landslided like Phu Thuan commune (Thuan An town). There is no land fund to arrange resettlement of the landslide-affected areas.

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Chường, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phú Thuận Commune, said so and proposed, proposing the district and provincial People's Committees to allocate more land for the commune to implement the resettlement.

In the locality, it may be necessary to get land from poor quality aquaculture ponds, but the conversion of this land through resettlement has a huge budget, looking forward to receiving the support and support of the Commission. People's Committees of provinces and districts aim to have land soon to build resettlement areas, ensure people's safety and property in the rainy season.
