Mozilla postponed the launch of Firefox 2.0
Mozilla announced on August 15 that it will postpone the launch date of the Firefox 2.0 upgrade, which is expected to be in the mid to late October.
According to Mozilla, there are currently about 40 vulnerabilities in Firefox 2.0 Beta 2 (trial version), and about 100 of these flaws need to be patched before the final version - Firefox 2.0 is released.
A month ago, the first beta version (Beta 1) of Firefox 2.0 was provided to developers. The Fire 2.0 version, when finalized later this year, will compete with Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 browser.
The upgraded version of Fire 2.0 will have many new features, typically the spell check function; phishing warnings; Additional features include: tabs, news feeds, and extended add-ons.
