In the FireFox 2.0 Beta version that was released on Aug. 31 , in addition to the above improvements, a better search capability, a spelling checker for Web forms and tabbed browsing is also required. was very popular.
This is probably the final beta of FireFox 2.0. Developers are planning to release a "release candidate" version (RC1 - version that is closer to the official version) of the browser on September 19; and the final version will be available at the end of October.
Actually Mozilla wants to be able to complete FireFox 2.0 this September. However, the release date has to be postponed so that developers can correct the bugs that appear in the beta.
Both Mozilla and Microsoft are racing to complete the official upgrade for their browser. Microsoft earlier released the first "release candidate" of Internet Explorer 7 and the company plans to provide an official version of the new generation browser later this year.
According to estimates by research firm OneStat.com, the percentage of Web surfers using FireFox is 13% while the number of IE users accounts for 83%.
