Mysterious little known about beautiful birds like myths

The Hornbill, also known as the phoenix, has the scientific name Buceros bicornis, one of the great hornbills. They weigh between 2.5 - 4kg, the whole body length is 95 - 122cm, the wingspan is 1.6m wide.

The Hornbill has a respectable life. In captivity they live 60 years, even 90 years. One can easily recognize them by their size, large body weight, large, long beaks, and an eye-catching hollow horn.

Like most hornbills, males have orange or red irises, females have white pupils and blue irises. When young, they are gray and gradually turn black when mature. Hornbill is found in the plains, mountains, tropical and subtropical climates in some Southeast Asian countries, India, South China. Hornbill species are also present in Vietnam, but they are rare. Currently, in Trang An (Ninh Binh), occasionally the Hornbill still glide in the mountains.

The Hornbill has a very special horn set. At first glance, one might mistakenly think someone had played mischievously on their heads with a forest banana flower with an eye-catching red color. Scientists have not found the use of this horn. Maybe, they are just tools to attract your partner.

The forte of the hornbill is fruit, insects, insects, small rodents and other small birds. Many tribes in deep forests claim that they are birds with supreme power. Therefore, the Hornbill was chosen as a mascot.

The Hornbill was used to make offerings and to welcome the gods in festivals. They thought that young bird's blood was something that could be used to comfort the dead souls. Many tribes have used the feathers of this bird as household decorations, their horns make jewelry to gain more power. Many tribes also consider them to represent the god of war.

Numbness usually lives in couples, but it can sometimes be made up to 40 individuals. To adulthood, after mating females often find a big tree hole to lay eggs. Each litter of females usually lays 1 - 2 eggs. The mother birds lie back in the incubator like chickens. Time for young birds to be born is usually from 38 to 40 days.

The birds dispose of mud, soil, and feces to fill almost the door closed during the brooding process. At this time, the Red Horned Fathers will take care of the food for the whole process. When the young bird is sturdy, the father will use his beak to open the "door" to let the young bird out. There are now many countries, organizations that breed and domesticate this bird in a captive environment.

With the terrific hunting speed of humans for meat and jewelry, this bird is already at great risk of extinction in nature.
