The strange 'fish rain' in Sri Lanka

People in a village in Chilaw town (western Sri Lanka) said they heard loud sounds falling on their roofs. At first they thought it was a hail, but suddenly it was a great amount of fish falling from the sky, like a rain.

According to the scientists, this 'fish rain' phenomenon occurs when a tornado appears on a relatively shallow water and develops a dragon's wall, absorbing everything in the water, including fish, eels and even frogs to the sky, then bring them to another area farther away, even if the tornado stops working.

It is known that this is the second time that this unusual phenomenon has appeared in Sri Lanka, but these phenomena do not appear in the same area. Earlier in 2012, a "shrimp rain" also suddenly appeared in the southern region of Sri Lanka.

Rain spider

Rain toad

Rain cows

In 1986, a crawling rain in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, near Siberia, appeared to be wrecked by Japanese fishermen. There were about 23 cows falling from the sky and one fell on the boat of the fishermen.
