NASA's teleconference meeting will take place at 4 pm on January 4 at GMT, or 4 am today at 5 am Vietnam time, according to Sun. The content of the press conference will focus on Discovery's findings that came out in 1992 to encourage scientists to design low-cost missions with the goal of "discovering the mysteries of the solar system".
The press conference was attended by Thomas Zurbuchen, deputy manager of NASA's Scientific Mission Department in Washington and Jim Green, director of NASA's Planetary Science Division.
The 12 missions that were once selected for the Discovery program include the Messenger spacecraft to Mercury, Dawn to the large asteroids like Vesta and Ceres and the InSight Mars amphibious device scheduled to launch in May 2018 .
