Need solutions to develop digital content and protect cyberspace

In the framework of the activity of ' Vietnam IT Promotion and Application Development Forum ', on the morning of October 17, 2003 , the Ministry of Post and Telematics held the second seminar at Hanoi Hilton Hotel.

The workshop was chaired by Deputy Minister Vu Duc Dam, focusing on discussing two main issues: Developing Digital Content Industry and Cyber ​​Security for Vietnam.

The members of the forum are leading companies and corporations in the world such as Motorola, IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, IDG, Fujitsu have presented and contributed practical comments on these issues.

Oracle has contributed to the cost of service usage and the quality of digital content. Cisco Corporation also noted the issue of developing digital content in parallel with developing content transmission infrastructure.

Deputy Minister Vu Duc Dam set out very practical issues to discuss for developing digital content of Vietnam such as: what specific areas need to focus on developing and solutions to develop telecommunications infrastructure to can meet the needs of digital content diversification, experience building regulations on digital content, .

In the afternoon session VNCERT also discussed issues of concern in developing Vietnam cybersecurity strategy. Fujitsu representatives presented about the Japanese government's efforts to protect national cyberspace. Microsoft representatives also emphasized the security of cyberspace as a premise for e-government development.

The forum closed with a lot of valuable experiences, many jobs to complete to promote digital content development and cyber protection for Vietnam.

With a high sense of acceptance, the way to proceed is very open. The Ministry of Posts and Telematics is taking very practical steps to meet the increasing demand for safety and increasing content on telecommunication channels.
