New discovery about the common father of humankind
After Albert Perry - an African-American in the state of South Carolina, USA - died, one of his relatives brought his DNA sample to the Family Tree DNA company for analysis, Newscasters reported.
The latest research shows that the common father of all human beings lived 340 millennia ago, more than twice the previous estimate.
After Albert Perry - an African-American in the state of South Carolina, USA - died, one of his relatives brought his DNA sample to the Family Tree DNA company for analysis, Newscasters reported.
In all cases of previous Y chromosome analysis, Family Tree DNA experts found that every customer is descended from a man who lived 60,000 to 140,000 years ago. So it is thought that the man is the father of mankind.

But Perry's Y chromosome shows that he is a descendant of a man who lived about 340,000 years ago.
University of Arizona genetic experts analyzed Perry's DNA samples for testing. Results showed that Perry's Y chromosome coincided with the chromosomes of 11 men living in a village in Cameroon.
Michael Hammer, a University of Arizona researcher, said that it is very likely that the common father of humanity is a member of an extinct race. Before the permanent disappearance, the race of that person had mated with a modern human race.
Family Tree DNA discovery was published in the US Human Genetics magazine. It shows that the scientific community may have to rearrange the timelines in the evolutionary history of mankind.
"This is a great discovery. We, the geneticists, are always interested in the Y chromosome. Changing the source of the Y chromosome is a very impressive thing," said Jon Wilkins, a geneticist. of the Ronin Institute in the US, said.
